Recently, Alibaba has been working hard for more expansion across Asia and now, the ecommerce giant has opened a Shopping Center in the city of Shenzhen, located on the southern coast of the province of Canton, in the People’s Republic of China.
As you may already know, Alibaba is one of the top Chinese online shopping sites but mostly a wholesale site for bulk buyers just like Dhgate.com.
The shopping center was named Hemali Suibao which would mean “center of community life”. The Shopping Center occupies an area of 40,000 square meters on the premises of an old reconstructed shopping center. It consists of three floors, placing a supermarket in Hema on the second floor.
Hemali Suibao will have a “box-fit” test service. In addition, consumers can try on and choose the clothes they want, with the advantage that Alibaba will deliver it later to their home, free of charge. A mechanism similar to that used by Amazon in the United States: test, buy and return what you don’t want for free.
Within a radius of approximately 3KM from the mall, residents can receive free deliveries from approximately 60 merchants and 40,000 types of goods and services. Food and drinks can be delivered in just 30 minutes . The rest of the products will be delivered in an estimated time of 1 hour.
and the great novelty is associated that never any retailer born “pure player” had dared with this format.
Soon, more information about this great innovation by Alibaba will be known and we will be able to report all the characteristics of this great investment from one of the largest ecommerce platforms in the world.
